This large relay mast is located at Whitewell in Rossendale, Lancashire, at NGR SD833245, and is run by Arqiva. Power radiated is listed as 80 watts, and as is often the case with Pennine areas, is required to fill in the reception to residents lower down in the valleys.

This small mast also hosts a number of mobile phone aerials, and according to: http://www.sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk/ they belong to Vodafone (site no. 14040 - UMTS), T-Mobile (site no. 66504 GSM & UMTS), and 3 (Site no. BB0036 - UMTS).

Yet another sunny February day, far too sunny at times, as it made taking pictures from certain directions very difficult. This was a lovely location though, and the mast is located halfway up a field in the middle of farmland. Well worth a visit.

You can see the mast from the bottom of the valley
