| In this gallery you will see a number of the mobile phone masts and transmitter sites located in the town of Rochdale in Greater Manchester.
Where known the site ID and location/operator details are shown, and all of these were taken from the OFCOM Sitefinder, which is to be found at: http://www.sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk These come in a mixture of locations, some are on their own individual masts, and others mounted on the sides of various factories. One is even mounted on an electricity pylon in the middle of a field full of sheep! This is not a complete collection, and more will be added as an when time and opportunity permits. I apologise for the quality of some of the shots included, you don't expect to have such bright Sunny days in February, and with the Sun so low in the sky it was often difficult to find decent spots to shoot from, especially in the case of one site, which is currently surrounded by a mixture of demolition and building work, and was only visible from the 'wrong' direction. A return visit will be made under more suitable conditions in due course. |
